I continued to develop my voice and stage presence every time I got the opportunity to sing. I was invited to the Mike Beatty Talent Expo in Dallas in June 2003 and won 1st Runner Up at the Showcase out of 190+ people. I was also 1st Runner up in July 2004, with Colgate Country Showdown with KZSN 102.1 in Wichita, Kansas. I had the opportunity to perform on the same stage prior to Lila McCann, Billy Carrington and Jimmy Wayne. I got to meet Jimmy Wayne later and his manager commented that I did a great job and should have won 1st Place. I was so excited! I went to Dallas in June 2004 and auditioned for Johnnie High Music Revue and was able to perform in July. That same month I went to Nashville to 2004 CMAfest and was able to sign autographs at the Nashville Convention Center and to perform at Tootsie’s. While singing there I was able to do several live interviews and performances on the radio with Bill Cody at WSM; he was impressed with me when I jumped up and sang acappella, “You Belong To Me”, an old Patsy Cline song. I had the opportunity to record that song on my new album. From August 2004 till March 2005, I lived in Dallas, Texas so that I could sing on the Opry Circuit and have had the opportunity to sing on such Opry’s as the Wylie Opry, Garland Opry, Gladewater Opry, Grapevine Opry, Johnnie High Music Revue and many others in eastern and southeastern Texas. I was booked every weekend. I now have a recording contract with Heartland Records, Inc. a new Indie Label from Houston and have been in the studio with Producer Mike McClain, he was the engineer on LeAnn Rimes, CD “Blue”. My CD, “Hurting Back To You”, is very special to me because I wrote 5 out of the 12 songs. My first release is the song written by Lee Ann Womack, “The Man That Made My Mama Cry.” It really touched me when I first heard it; the words mean so much to me, Lee Ann is truly an inspiration to me. I am currently doing CMAfest 2005 in Nashville and singing at Tootsies. I also have been going to many Open Mic Writer's Night Venue's and am writing with many very talented, wonderful people. I have been able to perform many places in Nashville, such as Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, The Stage, The Wildhorse, Nashville Palace and The Broken Spoke. At the Spoke, I had the opportunity to sing with Tim McGraw’s Band, “The Dancehall Doctors.” At the age of 10 I recorded my 1st original song that I wrote with Angel Wings Studio in Wichita, Kansas with the late Randy Rickman (he will be missed). He sent the song to Nashville and he received a call from Danny Keye from Warner Brothers and someone from Mercury who really liked the record but found out that I was only 10 years old, I was too young I guess to get a deal but they loved my song and I felt like a million bucks at the time.
